She’s write funny…

I love comedy and I love writing and I love writing about crazy things that happen in my floating exotic island in the North Atlantic. That’s Newfoundland, in case you haven’t guessed. A few (well, quite a few) years ago I decided I wanted to be a writer. Computer, fingers, mind… that was about it. And music. Let’s not forget the all-important music – my muse. Well… it’s been a long haul. But not for the reasons you might think. I’ve written two manuscripts, one is pretty much ready to go, the other, my first, probably needs a lot of revision but I love the characters and I’ve learned so much since that first step. I digress. Kathryn’s World is about my journey from this point forward. I’ve got an exciting new project on the go with Women In Film & Television – Toronto having been accepted into their Incubator Program. The WIFT-T Development Incubator is designed to develop market-driven feature films and support the next generation of Canadian feature film professionals. That should light a fire under my ass. And it has. I’ve launched my new website and I’m ready to take you with me on this journey to filmdom and publishdom (I’m creative, I can make up words). FYI – filmdom is a word – synonymous with Moviedom – it’s referring to “the biz” – the motion picture industry. Okay, so now you know how green I am let the adventure begin.
